Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We spent it with friends and family – couldn’t have gone any better. I just love being able to spend time with everyone. Nobody had to be at work, nobody had to be somewhere else. It was pretty low key, with the people I love and that was great.
We tried to check out the local egg hunt. Apparently, so did everyone else. I booked it in the opposite direction. Those crowds were insane. I didn’t even realize that many people lived in the area. I don’t understand how kids could find eggs in this crowd. I heard that the eggs basically disappeared once it started and a lot of kids left upset. Parents get ruthless in kid’s games.
We walked in the local parade with our Babywearing International friends. That was a lot of fun. It was a short little parade and Birdie got to hand out stickers and erasers to other kids. She loved it. We also handed out cards to babywearing parents. I hope to see new faces at some of our meetings.
As for Sunday, we had an amazing dinner at home. The menu was seafood. We had lobster tail, shrimp and crab. So fresh and so good. We also had some ham. The kids got to color eggs. We also spent all night playing Disney Cranium.
Cascarones was also a part of the festivities. It was a mess. It took me forever to get it out of the kids’ hair. I’m pretty sure I have a welt on my side where my brother tried to nail me with one. We all came together to clean up though – my mother was proud.
Hope you had a good one!
