This weekend was SoCal MommyCon. It was held at Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim, just down the street from Disneyland. I was able to talk A into making a weekend out of it, celebrating Tot’s Birthday a bit early.
There were so many different workshops and sessions. It was fun to hear what was going on. Tot Squad was cleaning strollers, there was a lot of baby wearing booths and fun accessories. There was a postcard station where you could send a friend a postcard, which I LOVED. I love snail mail. I also loved that if you posted to Instagram with their hashtag #MommyConSoCal, it would print! I love that you got real photos from the event.
They had a corner sponsored by BubblePop, where there were bubbles everywhere. It was my kids’ favorite corner until Tot decided to pop bubbles with his face, get soap in his eye, and run around blind and screaming. But I love the idea of bubbles for kids. The kids were so happy over there.
I loved the Dyper changing station. It was kept up, nice and clean. Everyone had fun trying out the diapers. There were a few parents that were discussing it when I changed Dumpling over there.
I got to try on different Kinderpacks and Naked Panda Designs carriers. I hung out a little bit at the Babywearing Lounge with some friends. I love seeing new caregivers babywear. I even got to go home with a new NPD carrier, the Dash.
Now I’m up at 6am, nursing Dumpling while my family is completely knocked out. Swimming is so tiring and they cannot wait for Disney. Such a fun weekend.
