I was finally able to play with a Weird Slings! I’ve been loving their patterns – and I’ve been wanting to try one out for a while. They have some of the most fun, and weird, patterns. I think it’s a lot of fun.
Fly-lahlah is really soft to the touch. It’s pretty smooth, with not a lot of texture. The yellow/gold is really bright. The pattern is a lot of fun. Birdie and Tot thought the flies were “so cool”. I found them looking and poking at the wrap constantly while it was here.
It was perfect for nap time. Dumpling was out like a light. My shoulders felt great in this double hammock. It wasn’t diggy at all – pretty cushy. More cushy than I anticipated with a 100% cotton wrap. She stayed up for a good hour or so, without any issues on my shoulders or back.
There is limited give. A bit of diagonal stretchiness, which helped with the nice and tight passes over her bum and my chest. The wrap bounces back into shape and I saw no reason to readjust at all. I don’t think I had any issues with the wrap relaxing at all.
Fly-lahlah felt really moldable. It took shape of whatever it was wrapped around. Almost like an Ace bandage. I could get each pass nice and tight. It isn’t pull prone due to the weave. I would say it’s a workhorse, but it just seems too pretty. You can brush the dust right off of it and you don’t have to baby this wrap.
This wrap was great during the slightly chilly and rainy weather we’ve been having. It’s not overly airy, and retained some heat – which was nice.
The lack of texture made the passes nice and glide-y (is that a word?). It was super easy to tie a knot and the knit stayed put. It didn’t slip at all. Fly-lahlah is a soft and snuggly wrap. It was so nice and soft – floppy even. I’m not sure how broken in it was, but it felt like it was almost at the perfect sweet spot.
This wrap was a fun visitor here at the A+O household. I need to check out more of their wraps and fun patterns – like donuts! We really enjoyed it and I was sad to see it move on.
