I was so excited to see this woven wrap show up in the mail. I threw Dumpling up as soon as possible. I knew I needed some bright, fun colors in my life. It really helped pull me out of the funk I was in. The unicorn pattern was a lot of fun too. I love being chosen to check out these wraps – I love being able to test them in all different carries.

I’ve been loving thinner wraps lately, as Dumpling is still really small. It makes it easier, so I don’t feel like I’m losing her in the wrap. I threw her up in a front wrap cross carry when we went grocery shopping and it was pretty perfect. It was nice, thin and airy. She didn’t overheat in it at all. I had small children come up to me, to point out the colors and the cool unicorn on her back. The wrap didn’t feel diggy in my shoulders at all, even when I had the chance to throw Tot up in a double hammock. It didn’t feel too bad.

There is some stretch to this wrap, with a decent amount of recoil. It stretches a bit while I’m wrapping, but it springs back right into place. So it maintains its shape pretty well. There is decent moldability in this wrap. It wraps like an ace bandage. The passes hug really well.

I don’t know if I would consider Unicorn Sunrise to be a workhorse wrap, but it’s no delicate flower either. The weave is tight enough, that I can’t imagine many pulls happening. Cotton and Tencel are pretty simple to care for, but as always, make sure you follow the company’s directions on how to care for the wrap.

I was able to wrap both Tot and Dumpling with this wrap. I love having both kiddos to wrap – a smaller, light baby and a bigger, heavier preschooler. I can see how the wrap feels with both of them and it really helps in comparison. Above is a picture of Tot, in a multi-pass carry – Giselle’s with a waistbelt. I love using this carry, because the passes go under each leg and I get the support of the waistbelt… so some of the weight is distributed to my hips. It makes it easier to carry him for longer periods of time. This wrap shone with that, the thinness of the wrap made it so that the multiple passes weren’t too cumbersome. It’s nice and airy, so we weren’t sweating in the wrap either.

A happy, wrapped baby is key. Look at her and that neck though. She’s getting a lot bigger! But Unicorn Sunrise was nice with an itty not so bitty baby. The thinness made it easy to wrap her and I really liked the colors. The Tencel made this wrap nice and snuggly, like a fun blanket. It was also nice and floppy, which I tend to like.

Look at the unicorn! Isn’t he cute? I normally shy away from big patterned wraps, but we are a unicorn loving family so this was a lot of fun. I love the gradient of colors. I like the brightness. It was a lot of fun to host this wrap. Luluna Slings always comes out with great wraps and they did not disappoint at all.
